The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) clarified the details of a video circulating on social media platforms, which shows an individual assaulting a minor and attempting to detain him in the city of Irbid.

The media spokesperson stated that on Sunday evening, the individual assaulted the minor by beating him, lunging at him, and attempting to detain him while the boy was playing football inside a school in the Northern Quarter area of Irbid. According to the individual’s claim, the incident occurred after the ball fell inside his house.
The spokesperson added that the minor, along with a number of teachers, filed a complaint at the competent police station. Consequently, the individual was apprehended and referred this morning to the Public Prosecutor to take the necessary legal action against him.
