Abdul Salam Duraij, Director of Administrative Missions in the Al-Hafayer area of Mecca, confirmed that all Jordanian pilgrims arriving by land were successfully transported from Medina to the hotels designated for their accommodation in the Al-Hafayer area of Mecca, with no shortages or delays reported in reception and accommodation procedures.
Duraij told Al Mamlaka that field teams monitored the conditions of pilgrims in five hotels in the Al-Hafayer area, noting that no significant complaints had been received and that all pilgrims arrived in Mecca in good health.
In a related development, the media spokesperson for Jordan’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Mohammed Al-Tawalbeh, announced the death of a Jordanian pilgrim born in 1953 after experiencing fatigue and exhaustion while performing the rituals.
Al-Tawalbeh explained that the pilgrim had visited the Jordanian medical mission, where he underwent the necessary examinations before being transferred to a hospital in Mecca, where he later passed away.
He added that the ministry had contacted the deceased’s family in Jordan, as well as his accompanying wife, to inform them of the death and offer condolences, while confirming that official procedures related to the case are being followed.
