Army: Border Security Is a Red Line, We Stand Ready to Deal Immediately with Any Suspicious Movements

The Southern Military Region on Saturday foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics carried by a drone along one of its fronts within its area of responsibility. Border guard units detected the drone, engaged it, and brought it down along with its payload inside Jordanian territory, in coordination with security and military agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND). The Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF) stressed that border security remains a red line, emphasizing the readiness and vigilance of the border guard personnel to immediately confront any suspicious movements and firmly handle anyone attempting to compromise national security.
