UK Maritime Body Reports Explosion Hearing Northeast of Khasab in Oman

The UKMTO stated that the tanker's master reported hearing the sound of an explosion near the vessel, causing no damage or injuries.

The agency confirmed that both the tanker and its crew are safe, noting that the incident remains under investigation.

On Saturday, the UKMTO had previously reported receiving a notification about a maritime incident 21 nautical miles northeast of Khasab, Oman, where an oil tanker master observed a large splash of water followed by an explosion in close proximity to the vessel.
