In a press statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Water and Irrigation explained that the campaign uncovered the breaking of air relief valves on the Disi conveyor and the extraction of thousands of cubic meters of water to fill illegal tankers for sale. Meanwhile, technical teams are continuing efforts to rectify the situation without halting the water supply.

In Al-Husseinieh, seven violations were detected involving illegal pipeline connections used to operate water sprayers, in cooperation with the Governor of Ma'an, the Director of the Southern Badia, and relevant authorities.

The Ministry noted that the illegal lines were disconnected, all violations removed, and 10 pumps and tanks used for the sprayers were confiscated. Work is underway to restore normal operations, while efforts continue to apprehend the perpetrators in coordination with the Public Prosecution, which is carrying out investigations to complete legal procedures and arrest all those involved.
