Jordan Customs Ranks Among the Top 13 Global Pioneer Projects in the 2026 Digital Economy Lighthouse Awards

The Jordan Customs Department has achieved a new global milestone after its "Trade and Logistics Performance Gateway" project was selected among the top 13 pioneer projects worldwide in the 2026 Digital Economy Lighthouse Awards. This recognition comes in appreciation of its role in supporting digital transformation, enhancing trade efficiency, and improving logistics performance.اضافة اعلان

This achievement stands out from among 308 projects and initiatives submitted by more than 60 countries under a global program. The program aims to monitor, document, and scale innovative digital solutions with significant economic and social impacts that contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The awards are organized under the framework of the Digital Economy Lighthouse Program, hosted and organized by the Global Center for Sustainable Development Goals Development and Leadership (GSLDC), in partnership with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the International Trade Centre (ITC), and the Global Digital Economy Cities Alliance (DEC40).

This milestone reflects the advanced position achieved by the Jordan Customs Department in digital transformation and customs service development. It also underscores its success in providing innovative solutions that help boost trade efficiency and support logistics performance.

The Trade and Logistics Performance Gateway project serves as a leading model for digital transformation in the trade sector.

On this occasion, the Director General of Jordan Customs, Customs Major General Ahmed Al-Akalik, congratulated the Jordan Customs staff and all partners on this achievement. He emphasized that this global excellence serves as an incentive to continue working with a spirit of innovation and leadership, and to keep developing qualitative initiatives that enhance Jordan's standing at both regional and international levels.
