The total number of overnight tourists and same-day visitors to Jordan during January and February reached 1,094,670. Among them, 592,206 were Arab nationals, representing 54% of the total figure.

According to data from the Ministry of Tourism, the total number of overnight tourists and same-day visitors during January and February decreased by 3.6% compared to the same period in 2025, which saw 1,136,084 visitors.
Detailed data regarding Arab visitors shows that during January and February 2025, overnight tourists numbered 477,882, while same-day visitors reached 151,244. In comparison, during January and February of the current year (2026), overnight Arab tourists totaled 448,973, while same-day visitors stood at 143,233—marking a 5.9% decline.
The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) previously indicated a 27.2% drop in tourism revenues during April 2026, falling to $517.1 million. This downturn was primarily driven by a decrease in tourism receipts across all nationalities.
Consequently, tourism revenues during the first four months of 2026 decreased by 10.4%, totaling $2.17 billion, compared to a 15.3% growth that yielded $2.43 billion during the same period in 2025.
The data reveals that during the first four months of 2026, tourism revenues fell across various segments: expatriate Jordanians dropped by 19.5%, American nationals by 17.1%, European nationals by 13.1%, Arab nationals by 3.3%, and other nationalities by 13.2%.
Furthermore, outbound tourism expenditure by Jordanians and residents abroad during the first four months of 2026 fell by 12.9%, totaling $562.6 million. The month of April 2026 alone recorded a 33.7% decrease in outbound spending, dropping to $103.0 million.
As a result, net tourism income during the first four months of 2026 decreased by 9.5%, amounting to $1.61 billion.
