The number of international visitors to Jordan reached 1,094,670 during the first two months of this year, according to official data from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities reviewed by Al Mamlaka.

According to the data, visitors were divided into two categories: same-day visitors, totaling 191,067, and overnight tourists, numbering 903,603.
The data showed that the majority of visitors were Jordanians residing abroad, followed by visitors from Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Palestine.
It also indicated that 61.5% of visitors entered Jordan through land border crossings.
Compared with the same period last year, the number of visitors declined by 3.6%. During January and February 2025, Jordan received 1,136,084 international visitors, including 198,449 same-day visitors and 937,635 overnight tourists.
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities had previously affirmed its efforts to strengthen the tourism sector’s performance and increase its contribution to GDP by developing tourism products and infrastructure, improving the visitor experience, intensifying marketing campaigns, focusing on diverse tourism segments, and expanding target markets to sustain growth, create jobs, and reinforce Jordan’s position as a global tourism destination.
The Central Bank had also previously reported that tourism income declined by 3.8% in the first quarter of 2026, reaching $1.65 billion, compared with an 8.9% increase to $1.72 billion during the same quarter of 2025.
