All clinics must be licensed by Health Ministry— Official

AMMAN — Director of Health Professions Institution Licensing Directorate Amin Al-Maaytah said all clinics will be required to obtain licenses from the Ministry of Health, according to Jo24.اضافة اعلان

Maaytah said that about 30 percent of medical clinics are licensed by the Ministry of Health in Jordan, while the rest operate inside private hospitals or medical centers, or rely on licensing from municipalities, adding that the new system obliges doctors to obtain licenses from the Ministry of Health.

Maaytah also said that the ministry's teams will carry out inspections of private laboratories if they receive complaints from citizens, to verify the veracity of complaints and take appropriate action if necessary.

He pointed out that the inspection teams will check compliance with commitment the licensing conditions and, in case of violations, will demand corrective measures before granting the license anew.
