Ambassador Grandmezon stated that France will continue to work hand in hand with Jordan to strengthen its stability in the region, recognizing the Kingdom as a country of security, openness, dialogue, heritage, and modernization.

In a video broadcast on Facebook alongside his wife from the Roman Theater, marking the end of his tenure as France’s ambassador to Jordan, he said their presence at this historic site symbolizes the authenticity of heritage and the convergence of civilizations.

He noted that Jordanian-French relations have been strengthened and advanced across various fields over the past three years.

The ambassador confirmed that France will continue efforts to implement a two-state solution, highlighting that French President Emmanuel Macron recently stated that recognizing the State of Palestine is the only way to consolidate peace.

He added that France will work to secure recognition of the State of Palestine with as many partners as possible in Europe and worldwide in the coming September, emphasizing that recognizing rights is a virtue and that this land deserves acknowledgment.

Ambassador Grandmezon expressed his deep gratitude for the hospitality and generosity he experienced during his tenure in Jordan, saying: “We bid you farewell, carrying many wonderful memories from the land of the courageous men and women,” adding that he and his wife look forward to future visits to Jordan.
