The medical team at the Jordanian Field Hospital South of Gaza/7 successfully performed a complex surgery on a 19-year-old patient who had sustained a severe head injury with acute subdural hemorrhage.

The hospital commander stated that, in implementation of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s directives to provide the best medical and humanitarian services to the people of Gaza and to alleviate the suffering caused by the ongoing conflict, the medical and nursing staff carried out the specialized surgery with expertise and high competence.

The hospital director explained that the operation was conducted by a specialized team in neurosurgery and anesthesia from the Jordanian Field Hospital South of Gaza/7 and was successfully completed.
The neurosurgeon reported that the patient had suffered a head injury from a shrapnel fragment that penetrated the skull, causing acute subdural bleeding. Immediate surgical intervention was required. The operation lasted five hours, during which the skull was opened, the hemorrhage evacuated, and blood clots removed. The prompt intervention saved the patient’s life and prevented serious complications. The patient was closely monitored in intensive care and was discharged in stable condition.
The patient’s family expressed their deep gratitude to His Majesty King Abdullah II, praising the significant efforts of the Jordanian Field Hospital team in mitigating the effects of the conflict on Gaza’s civilians.
