This meeting came within the government’s approach, led by Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan, to strengthen coordination and integration between executive departments, and to work under a unified vision centered on serving citizens with the highest levels of efficiency and fairness.

During the meeting, Al-Bdour affirmed that the Ministry of Health continues its efforts to elevate healthcare standards and enhance the efficiency of the health system, stressing that citizens will remain at the heart of the ministry’s priorities. He emphasized the importance of improving the “patient journey” and delivering quality healthcare services without delay or complications.

Al-Bdour explained that the next phase of the ministry’s work will be built upon three fundamental pillars: discipline, efficiency, and accountability, stressing that the ultimate goal is to provide high-quality healthcare services with respect for citizens.

He called on hospital and health directorate directors to lead by example in their positions, embody team spirit, and work continuously without negligence or excuses, while ensuring effective cooperation to address challenges and overcome obstacles. He affirmed his full support for them and all their staff.

He also directed that quarterly performance reports be submitted from every hospital and directorate, noting that patient satisfaction will be a key part of the evaluation process, measured either directly or through digital tools.

As part of human resources development, the minister pointed to a comprehensive plan aimed at enhancing the competencies of medical and nursing staff. He also noted that the ministry is in the process of evaluating the mechanism for procuring health services, with the goal of improving and developing it in the public interest.

Al-Bdour emphasized digitalization and digital transformation in the health sector, explaining that this direction is part of the ministry’s broader national vision, which it seeks to implement due to its direct positive impact on the quality of services provided to patients.

He invited attendees to visit the recently inaugurated Digital Health Center in the city of Salt and review its services, underlining the importance of cooperation with the center to achieve the best possible healthcare outcomes for citizens.

The minister also instructed directors to maintain regular field follow-ups at service delivery sites, listen directly to patients’ and visitors’ concerns, and remove obstacles that may hinder their access to proper healthcare.

Al-Bdour announced the launch of the “Outstanding Government Hospital Award”, which aims to encourage government hospitals to elevate their healthcare services and strengthen the quality of care provided to citizens. He noted that this initiative falls within the ministry’s commitment to supporting institutional excellence, encouraging healthcare and administrative staff to innovate, and achieving the highest standards of performance and efficiency.

The award will be granted to hospitals that demonstrate outstanding results in patient safety, service recipient satisfaction, digital transformation, and operational efficiency, thereby reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement.

During the meeting, Al-Bdour also listened to proposals from hospital and health directorate directors, which highlighted the key challenges facing fieldwork and suggested ways to overcome them. He affirmed the ministry’s commitment to carefully studying these proposals and taking necessary measures to implement the suitable ones, ensuring an effective response to citizens’ needs.

Finally, the minister expressed his deep appreciation for the ministry’s staff and affiliates across hospitals, health centers, and directorates, stressing the crucial leadership role of administrations in creating a motivating and fair work environment. He underlined that this is a priority that positively impacts overall performance, strengthens institutional belonging, and contributes to the development of services and the achievement of citizen satisfaction.
