Three Drug Smuggling Attempts Thwarted Within 24 Hours

The Eastern Military Zone, early Tuesday morning, thwarted two attempts to smuggle large quantities of narcotics within its area of responsibility. The drugs were being transported via electronically guided balloons.اضافة اعلان

Border guard units detected the balloons and took action, successfully downing them and their cargo inside Jordanian territory. The operation was conducted in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND). The seized items have been referred to the competent authorities for necessary legal action.



In a separate incident, the Southern Military Zone thwarted another smuggling attempt on Monday evening involving a drone on its western front. Border guard forces applied the rules of engagement after detecting the drone, successfully bringing it down inside Jordanian territory. In coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, the seized materials were handed over to the relevant authorities.
