The MoU was signed by the Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Saeb Khreissat, and the President of the JCDC, Dr. Adel Belbisi.

Strengthening Integrated Efforts
Dr. Khreissat emphasized that this agreement aligns with the Ministry's commitment to fostering integrated work across various sectors. He stressed that adopting the "One Health" approach is crucial for protecting livestock and ensuring the sustainability of agricultural and food production. He further explained that this collaboration enhances Jordan's capacity to prevent zoonotic diseases and efficiently address emerging health challenges, which positively impacts both food and health security.

A Strategic Path for Health Security
From his side, Dr. Belbisi stated that this MoU embodies national efforts toward building a more integrated and prepared health system. He confirmed that strengthening institutional partnerships and exchanging data and expertise increases the efficiency of early detection for health risks and helps curb the spread of epidemics.

He added that the "One Health" approach is a strategic path that reinforces the interconnectedness between human health, animal health, and the environment, thereby supporting Jordan's regional standing in health security.
