His Majesty King Abdullah II met on Sunday at Al Husseiniya Palace with a group of retired comrades-in-arms on the occasion of the Day of Loyalty to Military Retirees and Veterans.

His Majesty congratulated the retired servicemen and veterans on the occasion, expressing his pride in them and in their continued contributions to the nation.
Retired Major General Adnan Ahmad Al-Raqad, Director General of the Economic and Social Corporation for Retired Servicemen and Veterans, spoke about the importance of the occasion in strengthening appreciation for retirees of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army and the security agencies.
Al-Raqad added that His Majesty’s recent directive to restructure the Arab Army reflects his continued commitment to consolidating the Armed Forces’ approach, ensuring they remain at the highest levels of readiness and efficiency to address various challenges.
He also praised His Majesty’s ongoing support for military retirees, affirming the constant readiness of comrades-in-arms to serve the homeland and the corporation’s continued implementation of development projects that serve retired servicemen.
For their part, several retired officers expressed pride in meeting His Majesty, emphasizing their appreciation for the deeply rooted relationship between the Hashemite leadership and both serving and retired members of the Armed Forces.
They affirmed that they will always remain an integral part of the national security system and community-building efforts, stressing their readiness to continue serving the nation from their respective positions, drawing on their experience and enduring values.
The meeting was attended by Head of the Royal Hashemite Court Yousef Hassan Al-Issawi; Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Ahmad Al-Hunaiti; Director of the General Intelligence Department Major General Ahmad Husni; and Director of Public Security Major General Obaidallah Al-Maaytah.
