Jordanians on Saturday commemorated the 27th anniversary of the Day of Loyalty and Allegiance, honoring the late King Hussein bin Talal—may he rest in peace—and renewing allegiance to His Majesty King Abdullah II.
On this occasion, Jordanians recall the 47-year journey of the founding King Hussein bin Talal and continue the path of progress and modernization under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, so that Jordan remains a beacon of security, stability, and advancement.
Since His Majesty assumed his constitutional powers, royal directives and initiatives have focused on improving citizens’ quality of life and strengthening the Kingdom’s development trajectory, particularly through parallel tracks of political, economic, and administrative modernization, while enhancing the nation’s capacity to confront challenges.
At the international level, His Majesty has consolidated the Kingdom’s efforts to promote global stability. The year 2025 was marked by intensive royal meetings and visits to major world capitals, contributing to the strengthening of solid economic partnerships with sisterly and friendly countries.
Stemming from Jordan’s responsibility toward its brethren, the Kingdom has continued to defend the causes of the Arab and Islamic nations, foremost among them the Palestinian cause.
On the Day of Loyalty and Allegiance, the Speakers of the Senate and the House of Representatives spoke about the depth of the strong bond between the Hashemite leadership and the Jordanian people—one founded on loyalty, affection, pride, and confidence in national achievements.
Senate Speaker Faisal Al-Fayez said that as the Jordanian family commemorates this anniversary, it recalls a journey rich in giving and achievement on the anniversary of the passing of the founding King Hussein bin Talal—a journey of pride and honor.
Al-Fayez added: “This journey continues across all fields during the reign of His Majesty King Abdullah II, who has carried the Hashemite banner with competence and high resolve, and continues the process of building, development, and modernization in its political, economic, and administrative dimensions, to build a Jordan capable of confronting challenges with courage and unwavering determination.”
He continued: “We in the Senate take great pride in His Majesty’s efforts to consolidate Jordan’s role at the Arab and international levels, and the Senate will remain a strong supporter of His Majesty.”
He also noted that on this day Jordanians remember the continuous efforts and boundless giving of our noble Hashemite Kings in laying the foundations of progress and stability in our beloved homeland, and in strengthening a renaissance built on firm and solid foundations.
House of Representatives Speaker Mazen Al-Qadi said that the Day of Loyalty and Allegiance represents a deeply rooted national milestone for renewing the pledge to His Majesty King Abdullah II.
Al-Qadi affirmed that Jordanians stand united behind His Majesty, drawing from his wisdom and steadfastness an approach that enhances the nation’s security and stability and safeguards its achievements amid the challenges facing the region.
He added that the day embodies the depth of the strong relationship between the Hashemite leadership and the Jordanian people, based on trust, loyalty, affection, and joint efforts toward a more prosperous future for Jordan, renewing the pledge that the House of Representatives will remain a supporter and backer of the reform and development process led by His Majesty King Abdullah II.
He stressed that His Majesty’s visions and royal initiatives reflect the continued commitment to improving citizens’ living standards and the quality of services provided to them, ensuring the continuation of achievements that have constituted an exceptional case in a volatile region—thanks to His Majesty’s wisdom and efforts alongside Jordanians.
