His Majesty King Abdullah II met, on Wednesday, with political and media figures to discuss key domestic issues as well as regional and international developments.
On regional affairs, His Majesty reaffirmed that Jordan places its national interest and the interests of its citizens above all else, noting that the Kingdom is working to help restore stability in the region.
Regarding developments related to Iran, His Majesty expressed Jordan’s hope that tensions will be reduced through peaceful means, stressing the Kingdom’s position in support of diplomacy and dialogue.
His Majesty also addressed relations with Syria, underscoring that Jordan’s interest lies in Syria’s stability, and that coordination between the two countries’ institutions is ongoing to expand cooperation and exchange expertise across all fields.
The King emphasized the importance of ensuring the implementation of the Gaza ceasefire agreement in all its phases and halting Israeli escalation in the West Bank.
