Amman — Jordan welcomed the UN Security Council's adoption of a resolution submitted by Jordan and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, condemning the unjustified Iranian attacks that targeted Jordan and the Gulf states.اضافة اعلان

Jordan: The resolution represents an international consensus condemning Iranian aggressions and rejecting any infringement on the sovereignty, security, stability of Arab states, and the safety of their citizens.

Jordan welcomed the adoption of Security Council Resolution 2817, submitted by Jordan and the brotherly GCC countries. The resolution was introduced by the brotherly Kingdom of Bahrain in its capacity as the representative of the Arab Group at the Security Council and was co-sponsored by 135 countries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates emphasized the importance of the resolution's adoption, describing it as a significant step that reflects international consensus in condemning Iranian attacks. The Ministry stated that the resolution rejects violations of Arab states' sovereignty and security, and aims to consolidate regional stability and end regional tensions.

The Ministry stressed the necessity for Iran to adhere to the rules of international law and international humanitarian law, and to cease these attacks that target regional stability. It reiterated Jordan’s condemnation of the Iranian attacks on its territory, asserting that the Kingdom will take all necessary and available measures to protect its citizens, security, stability, and sovereignty.

Furthermore, the Ministry reaffirmed Jordan’s absolute solidarity with brotherly Arab nations in the face of these aggressions, supporting all steps taken to protect their security and citizens. The Ministry also expressed Jordan’s appreciation for the Arab and international support the resolution received, noting the broad global solidarity with Jordan and the Arabian Gulf states against Iranian hostilities.
