Key Highlights from the Minister of Industry:
Wheat Supplies: Current reserves are sufficient for 5.5 months, with an additional 4-month supply already contracted and en route to the Kingdom.

Fodder Reserves: The current stock of animal feed (fodder) is sufficient for the next 8 months.

Export Restrictions: A decision has been in place since last November to ban the export of essential food commodities without prior ministry approval to safeguard national reserves.

Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, Yarub Qudah, stated during the meeting that the government has also decided not to subject goods to any tax or custom increases resulting from changes in transport costs or altered supply routes.

The committee meeting was convened specifically to evaluate the reality of supply chains and to guarantee the sustainability of a safe strategic reserve of basic commodities amidst regional developments.
