The embassy clarified that the U.S. government is providing options to assist Americans in leaving the Middle East, calling on its citizens to monitor their emails for any updates or last-minute changes.

It noted that commercial flights are still operating from Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), recommending that U.S. citizens consider departing via these flights if they deem it safe to do so.

Furthermore, the embassy stated that several land border crossings in Jordan are currently operational, though operating hours may vary. These include:

King Hussein/Allenby Bridge.

Wadi Araba Crossing.

Jordan River Crossing.

Jaber Border Crossing (with Syria).

Border crossings with Saudi Arabia.

The alert also highlighted the availability of ferry services between Aqaba and Egypt for those wishing to depart by sea, advising citizens to contact ferry companies directly for schedules and availability.

In a related context, the embassy reminded citizens that on March 3, the U.S. State Department ordered the departure of non-emergency U.S. government employees and their family members from Jordan. Consequently, all routine consular services at the embassy have been suspended.

The embassy urged U.S. citizens to be prepared to shelter in place within their homes or secure buildings if necessary, and to maintain an adequate supply of food, water, medicine, and essential items while following local media and adhering to instructions from local authorities.
