The value of electronic payment transactions processed through the CliQ system reached approximately JD2.43 billion in August 2026, up 3.9% from JD2.34 billion in July, according to statistics from the Jordan Payments and Clearing Company (JoPACC).

Data reviewed by Al Mamlaka showed that around 24 million transactions were processed in August, an increase of 3.6% from July, when 23.17 million transactions were recorded. The number of transactions stood at 20.96 million in June.
From the beginning of the year through the end of August, the total number of transactions processed through CliQ reached approximately 162.18 million, with a combined value of JD16.64 billion.
The number of CliQ users in Jordan also rose to 2.39 million in August, up 1.7% from the previous month. The system had 2.35 million users in July and 2.31 million in June.
According to the statistics, Jordanians accounted for 95.9% of the system's users, or approximately 2.29 million users, while non-Jordanian users numbered around 98,600, representing 4.1%.
The data showed that males accounted for the largest share of CliQ users at 60.5%, or approximately 1.45 million users, compared with 36.6% for females, or around 870,000 users. The 18-to-30 age group represented the largest user segment, with approximately 839,000 users.
In terms of transaction type, money transfers accounted for 79.3% of all transactions in August, totaling 19.02 million transactions, while purchases represented 20.7%, with 4.97 million transactions.
The value of money transfers reached approximately JD1.73 billion, accounting for 71.4% of the total transaction value, while purchases amounted to around JD694.7 million, representing 28.6%.
The report noted that the average value of a CliQ transaction stood at approximately JD101 in August, unchanged from July, compared with JD103 in June.
CliQ is an instant payment system that enables users to send and receive money instantly between bank accounts at participating banks, as well as to and from electronic wallets.
