The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Thursday that the death toll from Israel’s assault on the Gaza Strip has risen to 62,966, the majority of them women and children, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023.

The ministry added that the number of wounded has climbed to 159,266, while many victims remain trapped under the rubble, unreachable by ambulance and civil defense crews.
According to the statement, Gaza hospitals received 71 bodies and 339 wounded over the past hours. Since March 18—when Israel violated the ceasefire agreement—the toll has reached 11,121 killed and 47,225 injured.
The ministry also reported that in the past 24 hours alone, hospitals received 22 people killed while seeking aid and 203 injured, raising the total number of such casualties to 2,180 killed and 16,046 injured.
In addition, Gaza’s hospitals recorded four new deaths due to famine and malnutrition within the last 24 hours, bringing the cumulative total to 317 deaths, including 121 children.
