The ministry explained that seven illegal connections were removed from 6-inch and 4-inch transmission lines illegally tapped from a 300mm carrier line supplied from the Zibda reservoir, which provides water to villages north of Irbid, including Taqabal, Fu‘ara, Hour, Umm al-Jadayel, Is‘ara, and the 100 Roundabout area.

According to the statement, those responsible had built water canopies and large collection wells inside their homes, using pumps to fill tankers and sell the water to residents.

The teams began dismantling the illegal connections, while the confiscated equipment will be used to help identify the offenders and proceed with legal action against them.

The ministry stressed that the coordinated operations of its control campaign are proceeding according to plan across all regions of the Kingdom, to protect citizens’ interests and safeguard the country’s water resources, reaffirming that it will not tolerate any violations of the law.
