At least two people were killed and five others injured, including a two-year-old child, in a shooting at a food festival in downtown Seattle on Sunday, U.S. media reported on Monday. Authorities said two suspects have been taken into custody.اضافة اعلان

Police urged the public to avoid the area around the Space Needle as officers investigated the shooting, which occurred during the Bite of Seattle food festival.
According to police, multiple people were shot at the Seattle Center on Sunday evening.

In a post on X, the Seattle Police Department said: "There are multiple victims. Shots were fired at Seattle Center."

Witnesses told The Seattle Times they heard several gunshots at around 6:00 p.m. local time (0100 GMT).

Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson described the incident as "a horrific act of violence" and confirmed that two suspects had been detained.

"The affected families are living through the worst moments of their lives, and our entire community is trying to understand how a gathering meant to celebrate culture, connection, and joy could end with the sound of gunfire," Wilson said.
