The spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Majid Al-Ansari, stated in a press conference that the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister participated yesterday in ceasefire talks in the city of Al-Alamein.

Al-Ansari explained that Qatar and Egypt have received Hamas’s response to the proposed ceasefire in Gaza, but the Israeli response to Hamas’s approval is still pending.
He noted that there is no specific timeline for the reply, although available information indicates that Israel is currently reviewing the matter. He expressed hope that the response would be quick and positive.
Al-Ansari added that there are no real guarantees on the ground except for the commitment of both parties to implement the agreement, pointing out that the proposal approved by Hamas largely matches what Israel had previously agreed to.
He confirmed that the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister is in contact with the U.S. envoy, describing the atmosphere as positive, and expressed hope for an agreement that can be implemented immediately once reached.
