In a statement, the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf Department said dozens of settlers entered Al-Aqsa Mosque in successive groups through the Maghariba Gate, performing provocative Talmudic rituals, dances, and what is known as the “epic prostration” near Bab al-Rahma prayer hall, under heavy police guard.

Since October 7, 2023, occupation forces have continued to impose a siege on Al-Aqsa Mosque by restricting Muslim worshippers’ entry, tightening procedures at its gates, erecting metal barriers, stopping arrivals, and obstructing their access.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation bulldozers and machinery on Monday morning demolished several homes and facilities on the outskirts of Shaqib al-Salam in the Negev, under the pretext of unlicensed construction.

The Arab Higher Follow-Up Committee in the Palestinian territories of 1948 said that demolition vehicles stormed the area under the protection of heavily reinforced Israeli police units, which surrounded the demolition site and prevented residents from entering.

Israeli authorities continue to demolish homes, shops, and industrial workshops in Arab towns under the pretext of lacking permits, as witnessed in Rahat, Tuba-Zangariyye, Jadeida-Makr, Yarka, Zarzir, Acre, Nazareth, Umm al-Fahm, Shefa-Amr, Sakhnin, Ein Mahil, Jaffa, Kafr Qasim, Qalansuwa, Kafr Yasif, Ar’ara, Lod, Hurfeish, Kafr Qara, towns across the Negev, and others.

Separately, occupation forces arrested 19 Palestinians, including former prisoners, during a wide-scale raid campaign across various cities and towns in the West Bank.

This campaign comes as part of the near-daily escalation witnessed in different parts of the West Bank, amid human rights condemnation of the ongoing physical assaults against Palestinian detainees and the destruction of their property during raids.
