Israeli occupation authorities on Saturday distributed new seizure orders targeting Palestinian-owned lands in the town of Anata, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, for the benefit of the occupation municipality.

According to local sources, the orders were handed to landowners in the town with the aim of establishing a parking lot and expanding the roads leading to the “Ma’ale Adumim” settlement.
The sources noted that the land slated for seizure amounts to 140 dunams, stretching from the Shuafat Refugee Camp checkpoint through the “Ma’ale Adumim” settlement up to the military camp east of Anata. These are privately owned lands, and the purpose behind their confiscation is to complete the colonial “E1” project.
