Israeli Army Announces Death of Soldier in Southern Gaza
The Israeli army announced on Wednesday that one of its soldiers was killed during “clashes” in southern Gaza, as Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on targets across the enclave following Israel’s accusation that the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas had violated the ceasefire agreement.اضافة اعلان

Meanwhile, the Gaza Civil Defense reported early Wednesday that at least 30 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in Israeli airstrikes that targeted various areas across the Strip on Tuesday.

The latest escalation poses a new test for the fragile ceasefire brokered earlier this month by U.S. President Donald Trump.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Wednesday, Trump said the U.S.-backed ceasefire in Gaza was “not at risk.”

He added, “From what I understand, they killed an Israeli soldier… so the Israelis responded to the strike, and they must respond. When that happens, they should respond in kind.”

Trump further stated, “Nothing will jeopardize the ceasefire… You have to understand that Hamas is a very small part of peace in the Middle East, and they must comply.” (Reuters)
