Official data revealed that sales of petroleum derivatives in Jordan rose by 2% during the first nine months of this year compared to the same period last year, according to figures issued by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

The total sales of the three main fuel products — 90-octane gasoline, 95-octane gasoline, and diesel — reached 2.63 billion liters by the end of September, compared to 2.58 billion liters during the same period of the previous year.
The government imposes a fixed tax on petroleum products: 57.5 piasters per liter on 95-octane gasoline, 37 piasters per liter on 90-octane gasoline, and 16.5 piasters per liter on diesel and kerosene (the latter currently frozen).
In detail:
Sales of 90-octane gasoline declined by 2.6%, reaching 1.15 billion liters by the end of September 2025, compared to 1.18 billion liters in the same period of 2024.
Sales of 95-octane gasoline increased by 7.6%, totaling 120.9 million liters, up from 112.4 million liters last year.
Diesel sales rose by 6.2%, reaching 1.35 billion liters, compared to 1.27 billion liters in the same period of 2024.
On a monthly basis, total fuel sales in September 2025 increased by 17% compared to September 2024, reaching 328.2 million liters, up from 280.4 million liters.
By category:
Sales of 90-octane gasoline rose by 10.2% to 139.4 million liters, compared to 127.6 million liters a year earlier.
Sales of 95-octane gasoline increased by 12% to 14 million liters, compared to 12.5 million liters.
Diesel sales jumped by 24.5% to 174.8 million liters, up from 140.3 million liters during the same month last year.
