The Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem stated that dozens of extremist settlers entered Al-Aqsa in groups through the Mughrabi Gate, conducting suspicious tours of the courtyards, performing provocative Talmudic rituals, and carrying out provocative dances near the Bab al-Rahma area and other sections of the mosque, all under the protection of occupation forces.

The Waqf added that the occupation police imposed strict restrictions on worshippers entering Al-Aqsa during the incursion, checking IDs and detaining some at the mosque’s outer gates.

It noted that Al-Aqsa is expected to face further incursions by extremist settlers during September and October, coinciding with Jewish holidays. These occasions are expected to be exploited by settlers to increase their storming of the mosque and impose new Judaization rituals.

The incursions, conducted under the protection of Israeli forces, include raising Israeli flags, prostration, blowing the shofar, bringing in plant sacrifices and temple tools, and turning the eastern area of the mosque into a miniature synagogue.

“Temple groups” recorded last year the highest number of incursions during these holidays compared to previous years.
