Brak: Israel Must Take a Parallel Step Following Lebanon’s Commitment to Disarm Hezbollah

U.S. Ambassador to Turkey and Special Envoy to Syria Thomas Brak stated that the Lebanese government has taken the “first step” regarding the decision to disarm Hezbollah, and that Israel must now take a parallel step.اضافة اعلان

During his meeting with Lebanese President Michel Aoun, Brak said there is always a step-by-step approach, noting that the Lebanese government has fulfilled its part.

He added, “Lebanon has taken the first step, and what we need now is for Israel to commit to a parallel step.”

Brak’s visit to Beirut is considered the first of its kind following the Lebanese authorities’ commitment to disarm Hezbollah before the end of the year.
