According to an official statement from the ministry’s Public Health Emergency Operations Center, the initial toll reported three injuries after the Israeli drone strike hit the motorcycle on Al-Mansouri Road in the Tyre District.
The National News Agency later confirmed that a “hostile drone” struck the motorcycle on the road between Al-Mansouri and Majdal Zoun, resulting in multiple casualties.
Despite a ceasefire agreement implemented on November 27, Israel has continued to carry out strikes in southern and eastern Lebanon, as well as in Beirut's southern suburbs. Lebanese officials also report that Israeli forces remain stationed at five points in southern Lebanon, in violation of the truce.
Tensions remain high along the border amid ongoing skirmishes between Israeli forces and armed groups in Lebanon, particularly Hezbollah. The repeated breaches of the ceasefire have raised concerns about broader regional escalation.
