Kuwait’s Emir Announces Elevation of Diplomatic Representation with Lebanon
Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah announced on Monday the elevation of diplomatic representation between his country and Lebanon in order to strengthen bilateral relations and "restore them to their optimal status."اضافة اعلان

This announcement came during his meeting with Lebanese President Michel Aoun, who is on an official visit to Kuwait since Sunday, leading a high-level delegation, according to a statement from the Lebanese presidency.

The statement indicated that the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, emphasized to President Aoun during their reception at the Amiri Diwan Kuwait's commitment to supporting Lebanon and enhancing Kuwaiti-Lebanese and Gulf relations.

For his part, President Aoun thanked the Emir of Kuwait "for the affection shown towards Lebanon and for Kuwait’s support for the Lebanese people, appreciating Kuwait’s hospitality for the Lebanese nationals residing there," according to the statement.

The statement also noted that the Emir of Kuwait informed President Aoun of the decision to elevate diplomatic representation between the two countries with the goal of "enhancing bilateral relations and restoring them to their optimal state."

President Aoun extended an official invitation to the Emir of Kuwait to visit Lebanon, and the latter promised to respond positively to the invitation.
