Vahidi, speaking at an event commemorating war victims, added that "the enemies suffered a defeat they had never experienced before," warning that any "aggressive adventure will be met with a response that will make them regret it," according to Sputnik.
In further escalatory remarks, Vahidi claimed that "America and Israel will one day fall," while emphasizing that the recent protests in Iran, which began at the end of December 2025 over the decline in the local currency's value, represent a "U.S. instigated sedition" that will not lead to the collapse of the regime.
The protests, organized by the Reza Pahlavi movement, led to clashes with police in several cities, resulting in casualties among both security forces and protesters. Iranian authorities stated on January 12 that "the situation has been brought under control."
