Axios: Washington and Tehran Preparing for a Decisive Round of Talks
The news website Axios reported that the United States and Iran are set to hold a decisive round of nuclear negotiations in Geneva next Tuesday.

According to informed sources cited by the outlet, the U.S. team participating in the talks will include senior Trump adviser Jared Kushner and White House envoy Steve Witkoff.

A U.S. official stated that Witkoff spoke earlier this week with Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi, conveying several messages related to the nuclear discussions with the Iranians.

The Iranian delegation is expected to be led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi, who is mediating between the two sides, is also expected to attend.

According to the report, the Omani foreign minister prepared a document based on his call with Witkoff and delivered it to Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, who visited Muscat last Tuesday.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump said his administration was facing “tough” dealings with Iran in negotiations aimed at reaching a nuclear agreement. He added that the United States had deployed a “massive carrier strike group” to the region as part of its preparations.

Trump stated, “Sometimes there has to be fear,” warning that Iran would face a “very difficult situation” if a fair and good deal is not reached.اضافة اعلان
