In a post on X, Pezeshkian wrote: “The talks between Iran and the United States, which were conducted with the involvement of friendly governments in the region, were a step forward.”

He added: “Dialogue has always been our strategy for resolving disputes peacefully. Our approach to the nuclear file is based on the rights enshrined in the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.”

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Sunday that no party has the right to dictate terms to Tehran, emphasizing that Iran will not abandon nuclear enrichment even in the event of war.

Speaking at a forum in Tehran, Araghchi affirmed that Iran does not accept coercion or domination from any side, and that the country is prepared for both diplomacy and war.

He added that the U.S. military buildup “does not intimidate” Iran.

Araghchi continued: “Why do we insist strongly on uranium enrichment and refuse to give it up even if war is imposed on us? Because no one has the right to dictate our actions.”
