Parents of about 37,295 students agree to vaccinate their children

AMMAN— On Friday, the Ministry of Education announced that the parents of approximately 37,295 students agreed to vaccinate their children against COVID-19, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

The ministry also indicated that the number of students who received the first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine reached 136,855, while those who received the two jabs reached 102,635 students.

The ministry pointed out that about 2,168 students were vaccinated due to the campaigns and initiatives conducted by the ministry during the past two weeks.

The ministry of education previously gave parents the option to voluntarily approve giving their children (ages 12-17) the COVID-19 vaccine.

Statistics by the ministry indicated that the positivity rate among students, teachers, and administrators hit 0.008 percent.
