Jordan’s Ministry of Public Works and Housing launched the Ma’an and Madaba laboratories as key central laboratories, joining the existing central labs operating in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa, Karak, Aqaba, and Ajloun, in a strategic move reflecting the institution’s ambitious vision to build an advanced laboratory system that raises quality and efficiency standards while serving the community with the highest levels of reliability.
This development comes as part of ongoing efforts to upgrade the laboratory and quality control sector, which is considered one of the fundamental pillars for ensuring the quality of national projects and strengthening infrastructure safety in accordance with the latest technical and engineering standards.
The Ma’an and Madaba laboratories have officially begun operating as principal central laboratories, receiving samples daily, conducting laboratory testing, and issuing technical results in line with the highest standards of accuracy and quality.
The move is expected to accelerate workflow procedures and enhance the efficiency of technical services provided to projects in the governorates of Ma’an and Madaba.
The accreditation of the two laboratories marks an important step in the ministry’s modernization and development efforts, as part of a broader plan to upgrade and rehabilitate all subsidiary laboratories into central laboratories across all governorates, as planned.
This expansion is expected to directly improve laboratory readiness, accelerate project delivery, and provide stronger support for service and urban development projects across the Kingdom with greater efficiency.
