The Civil Status and Passports Department has extended Saturday working hours at six offices in Amman on September 5 and 12, in response to increased demand for its services.

Director General Ghaith Al-Tayeb said the offices covered by the extended hours include the **Amman Central Passports Office** and the **Smart Card Office**, both located at the department’s main headquarters in Tabarbour, in addition to the Civil Status and Passports offices in **Ashrafieh, Wadi Al-Seer, Tla’ Al-Ali and Hay Nazzal**.
The six offices will operate from **9 a.m. to 2 p.m.** on both Saturdays.
Al-Tayeb said the department continuously monitors demand for its services and takes appropriate organizational measures in line with operational requirements. The measures aim to ensure the optimal use of staff and facilities, facilitate the completion of citizens’ transactions, and enable them to obtain their documents with greater ease.
