The Director General of the Civil Status and Passports Department, Ghaith Al-Tayyib, has decided to designate Saturday as an official working day in 6 offices affiliated with the Capital’s Civil Status and Passports Directorate.

Al-Tayyib explained that adopting Saturday working hours is part of the organizational measures taken by the department to keep pace with the increased workload and enhance service delivery efficiency. This initiative aims to facilitate procedures for citizens, save them time and effort, and ensure their transactions are completed within the designated timeframes.
He indicated that the offices included in this schedule are:
Amman Central Passports Office
Smart ID Card Office
(Both located at the main department building in Tabarbour)
Ashrafieh Civil Status and Passports Office
Wadi Al-Seer Civil Status and Passports Office
Tla' Al-Ali Civil Status and Passports Office
Hay Nazzal Civil Status and Passports Office
He added that working hours on Saturday will be from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, exclusively at the aforementioned offices, starting today until the end of August.
Al-Tayyib emphasized that the department continues to implement necessary organizational and operational measures to develop the work system, boost performance efficiency, and guarantee service continuity—responding to citizens' needs while elevating the overall quality of services provided.
