An official military source at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army stated that air defense systems detected six missiles coming from Iranian territory targeting the Kingdom's land on Wednesday, and engaged them immediately upon entering Jordanian airspace.
The source explained that air defenses intercepted and downed four missiles, while the remaining two fell in remote, unpopulated areas, resulting in no human casualties or material damage.
The source added that teams from the Royal Engineer Corps dispatched to the impact sites of the two missiles and the debris resulting from the interception operations, working to secure the locations and handle remnants in accordance with established technical and security procedures.
The source reiterated that the Kingdom's airspace remains under continuous operational surveillance, and that the Armed Forces will deal with any aerial threat targeting Jordanian territory according to the rules of engagement in place, ensuring the protection of the Kingdom's sovereignty and the safety of its citizens.
