The Eastern Military Zone foiled an attempt early Wednesday to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics using guided balloons within its area of responsibility.

Border Guard units detected the balloons, intercepted them and brought them down inside Jordanian territory, seizing their narcotics cargo. The operation was carried out in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department.
The seized materials were handed over to the relevant authorities to take the necessary legal measures.
