Jordan records 6,216 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 6,216 new COVID-19 cases and 14 new deaths on Wednesday, bringing the total death toll to 13,028 and the total number of cases to 1,117,397.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 3,501 cases, while Zarqa recorded 758 cases. Irbid registered 549 cases, Balqa 438 cases, Karak recorded 217 cases, Jerash recorded 137 cases, and Tafileh recorded 37 cases. Madaba registered 184 cases, Aqaba 87, Ramtha 7, and Ajloun 114.

The ministry said in a statement that 90 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 118 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 36,672 according to the ministry. Out of 40,394 COVID-19 tests conducted Wednesday, 15.39 percent of them came back positive.
