Jordan records 17,781 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 17,781 new COVID-19 cases and 18 new deaths on Tuesday, bringing the total death toll to 13,235 and the total number of cases to 1,243,090.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 8,155 cases, while Zarqa recorded 1,989 cases. Irbid registered 2,687 cases, Balqa 1,368 cases, Karak recorded 729 cases, Jerash recorded 417 cases, and Tafileh recorded 237 cases. Madaba registered 470 cases, Aqaba 492, Ramtha 29, and Ajloun 382.

The ministry said in a statement that 152 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 249 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 95,314 according to the ministry. Out of 61,930 COVID-19 tests conducted Tuesday, 28.71 percent of them came back positive.
