Positivity rate stands at 28.77 percent — COVID-19

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 16,226 new COVID-19 cases and 24 new deaths on Monday, bringing the total death toll to 13,217 and the total number of cases to 1,225,309.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 8,400 cases, while Zarqa recorded 1,130 cases. Irbid registered 2,203 cases, Balqa 977 cases, Karak recorded 715 cases, Jerash recorded 468 cases, and Tafileh recorded 260 cases. Madaba registered 461 cases, Aqaba 388, Ramtha 19, and Ajloun 540.

The ministry said in a statement that 179 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 206 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 85,397 according to the ministry. Out of 56,399 COVID-19 tests conducted Monday, 28.77 percent of them came back positive.
