US President Donald Trump said he does not believe China and Russia are helping Iran “at all,” adding that Moscow and Beijing have “a lot to lose” if they provide support to Tehran.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he had seen comments from his critics and opponents claiming that China and Russia were providing assistance to Iran.
“If they are doing it, it’s on a very limited level, but I don’t think they are doing it at all. They have a lot to lose, and we will know about it, and we will know very quickly,” he wrote.
Trump said in July that he trusted China and Russia would not help Tehran in the war, but warned that if they became involved in the conflict, it would be “very bad for them.”
The United States has been at war with Iran since February 28, when Washington and Israel launched attacks on the Islamic Republic, prompting Tehran to respond with strikes on Israel and Gulf states.
Since then, US and Israeli strikes on Iran, along with Israeli attacks on Lebanon, have killed thousands of people and displaced millions.
Trump has previously described Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin as “neutral” in the Iran war.
Moscow and Beijing maintain close relations with Tehran. Russia has warned that the war in Iran could trigger a nuclear arms race in the Middle East, while Beijing has condemned US attacks on Tehran as a blatant violation of Iranian sovereignty.
Last month, Trump warned Xi against providing support to Iran during the Chinese president’s visit to Washington. The US ambassador to Beijing said at the time that Trump had received assurances that China would not do so.
The warning came amid reports that China had supplied Iran with shoulder-fired air defense missile launchers and that Tehran had found ways to circumvent sanctions on its oil sales with Chinese assistance.
