Ayla Public Relations Manager Mansour Al-Kabariti said the drill was part of the company’s efforts to enhance the safety of employees and visitors and strengthen its emergency response readiness through practical training on evacuation procedures and testing the effectiveness of response plans. This helps employees and relevant teams handle emergencies with awareness, speed and coordination.
The drill involved evacuating occupants of the administrative buildings to designated assembly points in accordance with established emergency plans. It aimed to assess response times, coordination among the teams involved, and clarity regarding roles and responsibilities, while identifying opportunities to improve evacuation procedures and protect lives and property.
Al-Kabariti stressed that simulation drills are an essential part of occupational health and safety systems, allowing employees to apply the guidance and training they receive in practical scenarios. They also enable emergency teams to assess their performance and strengthen their ability to manage emergencies efficiently.
He added that cooperation with the Aqaba Civil Defense Directorate supported the drill and provided an opportunity to benefit from specialized expertise in evacuation and emergency response, enhancing the effectiveness of established procedures and reinforcing preventive practices among employees.
Ayla continues to implement awareness programs, training sessions and practical simulation activities to foster a culture of preparedness and active participation in maintaining safety, which the company considers a shared responsibility and an integral part of daily work practices.
