IEC refers 10 ‘dark money’ cases in local elections to judiciary

AMMAN — Chairman of the Independent Election Commission (IEC) Khaled Kalaldeh said that the IEC has referred 10 dark money cases to the judiciary in the latest local elections, according to Jo24. اضافة اعلان

Kalaldeh said on Friday that there were around 165,000 white ballot papers in the provincial, municipal, and Greater Amman Municipality Council  elections, which took place last Tuesday.

Kalaldeh also pointed out that the IEC dealt with around 300 complaints during elections, some of which were referred to the courts, adding that “elections are never free of violations”.
