The PRCS emphasized that this step is a direct response to repeated warnings regarding the depletion of pharmaceutical stocks and medical supplies necessary for the continued operation of its field hospitals and clinics within the Strip.

The Society noted that the convoy is the culmination of months of intensive coordination with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

Logistic Breakdown:
Initial Phase: 5 trucks departed today carrying 111 pallets containing 3,284,684 units of medicines and medical solutions.

Final Phase: 4 additional trucks carrying 83 pallets are scheduled to complete the mission. These supplies are funded by the EU and the IFRC and were stored at WHO warehouses.

Total Capacity: The convoy totals 194 pallets loaded onto 9 heavy-duty trucks.

The PRCS clarified that these medical procurements were funded and supported by international partners, including:

European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO)

International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC)

Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO)

National Red Cross Societies of Spain, the UK, Norway, and Canada.

Palestinian American Medical Association (PAMA), specifically for dermatological treatments.

The PRCS concluded by stressing that the arrival of these aid shipments is a fundamental pillar for sustaining the healthcare system in Gaza.
