Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of former U.S. President Donald Trump, said on Tuesday that Israel and Hamas are moving into a phase of peace.
Kushner pointed to progress in efforts to recover the bodies of detainees from the Gaza Strip.

He also said there is close coordination between Israel and the United Nations regarding the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Meanwhile, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance said the implementation of Trump’s plan for Gaza is proceeding better than expected.
Vance added that a command center in Israel is monitoring the implementation of the ceasefire in Gaza, emphasizing that the United States will not impose anything on Israel.
He expressed strong optimism that the ceasefire in Gaza will hold.
Vance noted that the locations of the bodies of some detainees in Gaza remain unknown, stressing that if Hamas does not cooperate, it will be eliminated.
